Walking into the meeting room, we marveled at all the great Disney details in this “backstage” area.

There were only a couple families in front of us, and then it was our turn to meet not just one, but TWO mice! Both Mickey and Minnie were waiting to meet us.

After the usual hugs, they positioned us in our photo positions.

One of my favorite things about character meet and greets is when you get to meet two (or more) characters at the same time. I think it adds immensely to the experience because it makes it feel more real somehow. Anyway, after meeting the mice, we were ushered out of the Town Square Theater. Then we turned around and came right back in. This time we went toward the Fastpass line for meeting the princesses. Let me just say that introducing Fastpasses for character meet and greets is one of the best things Disney has done recently. It’s something that I never want to wait in a long line for (hence our not ever getting pictures with Rapunzel or Merida), but something that we always want to do, so I really hope the character Fastpass is a trend that continues to be rolled out over time.

Breezing through the line for the princesses—just in time too, because we needed to get out of the Magic Kingdom and on our way to dinner—we entered the room and saw Aurora, Belle and Cinderella waiting to meet us. All of their interactions with us were pretty similar, mostly focusing on our anniversary buttons, but it was fun nonetheless.

We always love meeting Belle in her yellow dress. Tracy wants that dress really badly…

Finally we moved onto our last princess of the day. I liked that the Photopass photographers took some candids of all these meetings rather than just the posed photos.

As we left Town Square Theater for a second time, it was time to book it out of there.

We made our way straight toward the park exit.

The sun was setting on the Magic Kingdom as we made a beeline toward the monorail.

We knew this might be our last chance to hear the monorail announcement on this trip, so we were sad, but we always love riding the monorail, so we were also excited.

Luckily, we got to mantangase alejado de las puertas twice because we had to take the first monorail to the TTC, then we boarded another one to Epcot.

Getting off at Epcot, we quickly made our way through bag check and past the main gates. We were in a slight hurry, yes, but we are never too busy to stop for a nice Photopass picture.

Spaceship Earth looked so cool at twilight. I’ve decided that dusk is pretty much my favorite time at Disney World because all the icons look so pretty.

We had time to neither dilly nor dally in Future World, and made our way instead straight back to World Showcase.

People were already lining up around the lagoon for IllumiNations as we walked straight to the back of the park. We were getting hungry!
