Castle Bright

After hopping to Disneyland, we enjoyed the decorations on Main Street.

We were en route to use our DAS time for Space Mountain—which was lots of fun, as always.

The crowds in the park were starting to get pretty atrocious (this was still Thanksgiving weekend, after all), but I really wanted to watch the castle lighting show before we left for the night.

We staked out an awesome spot by the ropes blocking off the forecourt.

As the time drew nearer, however, we kept getting encroached upon by the masses of people behind us.

We were quite ready for the show to start when it actually came. It’s certainly not one of Disneyland’s most memorable holiday moments, but it’s cute enough. We were obviously more excited for seeing the castle all lit up than we were to hear the narration about snow.

Here was the view behind us as the snoap started falling and we tried not to get trampled.

I figured that claustrophobic Tracy had been through enough with these crowds, so we decided to head out—but first, she wanted to ride the Monorail. After making the full loop, we made the journey back to the car and headed home.

Overview of November 2013

Total Days This Month Spent Visiting Disneyland Parks
11

Total Days Spent at Disneyland Since First Getting Our Passes
106

Favorite Disney Snack
Holiday Pretzel Wand (It wasn’t exactly the most exciting month at Disneyland as far as snacks went, but we did enjoy our pretzel want with its caramel, sprinkles, and M&Ms)

Favorite Disney Meal
Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (Okay, so it really wasn’t the most exciting month as far as Disneyland food went, period! We were glad to finally try the Lucky Fortune Cookery, however, and we liked our food)

Favorite Guilty-Pleasure TV Show
The Big Bang Theory (Really not a “guilty pleasure” at all, I think I started watching this hit sitcom around fall 2013. I made it through all the DVDs rented from Netflix on my own, and then I convinced Tracy to start watching the show, and we went through all the DVDs again together)
