Character Dance Party and Outlook Cafe | Alaska Cruise Trip Report Update

Chapter 52
Sunning

Every time we ventured out on deck, it almost felt a little bittersweet to see all the scenery. It was feeling more than ever like we were really on our way back toward Vancouver (and reality).

There was a Character Dance Party going on in the atrium as we walked through, and we stopped for a few minutes to check it out.

We realized we’d never really stopped to get pictures in the atrium for ourselves, so we headed down there.

And here’s a photo from our favorite glass-walled elevator.

Today felt like such a lazy day after having so many port days in a row, so we went back up to Cove Cafe to lounge.

We knew the Outlook Cafe was something we’d only get to experience on the Wonder, so that’s where we plopped ourselves down.

It was actually quite lovely out today (if still a little cold)…

We decided to order something a little fancier than our usual latte, so we opted for a specialty drink. I can’t seem to find a menu that has the exact name or description, but I know that it had a couple liqueurs in it, in addition to coffee and chocolate.

We’d already exhausted one Cove Cafe punchcard and redeemed our free drink this morning, so now we started a new one (they can be used across multiple cruises and don’t expire).

Once we’d finished our delicious drink, we went for another walkabout on deck.

On some cruise, I’d love to sit and watch a full movie on the FunnelVision.

As usual, there wasn’t really anyone out at the Cove Quiet Pool (too chilly for us wimpy adults).

On the last days of a vacation, I always start to realize the things I haven’t taken pictures of yet, so here is our hallway back toward our stateroom.

And here’s our door.

I think we only went back to grab hats and sunglasses because of how bright it was today. Then we went back outside.

We had also grabbed Duffy because he was wearing his Canada outfit and wanted to see the real place.

Considering how nice it was outside (and how everyone must have still been on the ship since this was a sea day), it felt totally deserted on Deck 10.

I think Duffy got too hot?

Some of these views along the B.C. coastline were just gorgeous.
